Ned Backus has finished a decade of sailing the high seas with his family and plunged back into the roiling waters of Seattle-area real estate.
Last week, Backus paid Quadrant Corp. almost $2 million for 5 acres at Quadrant I-5 Corporate Park in Everett on which to build a 78,000-square-foot building.
