New York City expatriate leather crafts maker Stephen Burrell has set up shop in Fremont, across from the Still Life Cafe and next to a new lingerie store.
Burrell ran his own leather store called New York Leather Co. in Greenwich Village for more than 30 years. He searched several West Coast cities looking for a new community and chose Fremont because its community and style best matched his own, his promotional material says.
