A month ago, Kemper Freeman had just signed on to buy Lincoln Square and was headed to Las Vegas to tout the stalled mega-project's 400,000 square feet of retail at the International Council of Shopping Centers' spring bash.
The Bellevue Square owner said ICSC is THE PLACE to score retail tenants, so he rushed to tie up Lincoln Square before he left. "I told (seller) Lend Lease, 'You can screw around all you want, but ICSC starts Sunday.'"
