Everything on this planet has a cycle. The ups and downs of one’s personal life and most fluctuations in the business world are normal and natural. The secret is to be able to ride the cycles ahead of the curve.
This means that one must know what to do and how to act in an economic boom, and what actions to take in a recession. Do the right things during good times, and you insulate against the worst effects of a recession. Do the right things during a recession, and you lay the groundwork to be at the forefront of the next recovery.
