Being on the Pacific Rim brings many advantages to engineers in our state. Doors to the potentially huge Asian market are opening, and a number of our architectural and engineering firms have already gained footholds in these markets.
On Aug. 29, Keith Eaton, chief executive of the Institution of Structural Engineers in London, delivered a presentation on "Reciprocity of Registration." The presentation, delivered at Seattle University, was attended by members of the Washington State Board of Registration, members of the Structural Engineers Association of Washington and members of the Institution of Structural Engineers.
